SnowFort (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is operated by SnowForge LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the SnowFort website and services (collectively, the “Service”).

Account Information
When you create an account through our authentication provider (Clerk), we may collect your email address, display name, and profile image. If you sign in via Discord, we may also receive your Discord user ID.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you use the Service, including items you add to your watchlist, notification preferences, and pages you visit.
Payment Information
If you subscribe to SnowFort Premium, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. We receive your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Cookies and Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements to non-Premium users. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. We also use essential cookies for authentication and theme preferences.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Service
- Send you watchlist notifications (email or Discord)
- Process Premium subscription payments
- Improve and personalize your experience
- Display relevant advertisements (free tier only)

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Clerk: authentication and account management
- Stripe: payment processing for Premium subscriptions
- Amazon Web Services (SES): sending email notifications
- Google AdSense: advertising (free tier only)
- Supabase: database hosting
- Vercel: website hosting
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Watchlist and notification data is retained indefinitely to provide shop history features. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. EU/EEA residents have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to data processing and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure authentication via Clerk, and environment variable management via Doppler. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.
